Air-fried Pork Meat Balls

The air fryer is really a godsend! Mine is a cheap one from Meyer and it has done a good job thus far. I love how easy it is to cook and clean!

I have done the meat balls twice to try to perfect it. Recipe was adapted from My Wok Life, except that I had mine slightly fried only.

First attempt: Meat balls were a tad over cooked. Served with sautéed broccoli and tomatoes, as well as mash potato and drizzled with mushroom gravy.

Ingredients

  • Minced pork meat
  • 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of corn flour
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup of corn starch (flour and water)

Method

  1. Marinate minced pork meat with dark soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper and corn flour. Mix well and set aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Line a piece of aluminium foil on the air fryer basket. Use tablespoon to scope meat and shape into a ball. Drizzle the meat ball with a bit of corn starch and place in the basket. Repeat step till all are done.
  3. Airfry at 200deg Celsius for 10 minutes. Once 10 minutes is up, open the air fryer and drizzle some oil on the meat. balls. Then, flip them over and airfare for another 5 minutes.

Note

  • Tried adding some carrot into the meat ball but there is no difference in terms of texture or crunch.

Second attempt: Much better and added them into linguine in tomato sauce.
